Turkey Day
Og's first extra-utero Thanksgiving was great! Mom made a yummy spread, with assistance from Cita, Gran and Aunt Cyndee; uncles Paul and Dave kept Og entertained; and Granddad and Cito (formerly Daddy Curtis) caught up over a few homebrews. Even though our furniture was in perpetual shuffle, no one even noticed that we lost 700 square feet in house size.

All Hallow's Eve
Had a great time last night. Og was in full character: charming guests, handing out candy, and enjoying some mulled wine on the porch. Og even got his first experience with nougat via a contraband Milky Way...it was love at first sight.

Pumpkin Patch
Big day for Og today. Met up with some friends at the chilly Farmer's Market. Then had a nap on the stroll home. Then Christie and Shane came over and we all went to the McCall's Pumpkin Patch. After hunting for pumpkins and cruising through the corn maize, we headed to the Sierra Blanca Brewery down the road in Moriarty. It just so happens that they were hosting an Octoberfest celebration, so we caught a live band, threw some horseshoes, and downed some cheap microbrews.

Trip to the Springs
We threw Ogden in the car seat and headed up to Colorado Springs to spend the Columbus Day weekend with Aunt Cyndee. Highlights included getting a free mini-pumpkin at the farmer's market, kickin' back some amber ale at a brewpub, and learning the family history from his 1st-cousin-twice-removed.

Balloon Fiesta
One of Albuquerque's more redeeming qualities is the annual balloon fiesta. It's so great to wake up before sun-up, grab some Flying Star coffee, and make your way up north to the balloon park. While there, nothing gets you more in the mood for balloons than green chile breakfast burritos. Oggie had a great time checking out all the special shapes. Here are some pics:

9 Months!
Here's Oggie at 9 months! Wow, he's got 8 teeth in now, with #9 threatening to come out. Mom's been giving him a whole bunch of new foods to eat, and he's finding that his potty is more accomodating than his FuzziBunz. He's almost walking, and shedding those pounds by staying continually on the run.
Austin!
Here are some shots from Og's latest trip to Austin. Og's favorite part: fighting the 100,000-person crowd at a 3-day music festival for a prime spot to sit and pull at the grass. Oh, and hanging out at Barton Springs and the UT campus were fun, too.

7.5 Months!
So I snapped these birthday-suit photos of Og at 7.5 months. These last couple months have been crazy, we're now living in a condo in downtown Albuquerque. The move was less than smooth, but we're all here and happy. Once Og cleans his room, I'll take a bunch of pics of his new domicile. So there's the excuse for not updating.

Northern Exposure
We just got back from a 10-day Michigan adventure. Loyal blog readers Mark and June offered us the use of their beautiful cabin on lovely Twin Lakes, near Cheboygan. Ogden had a blast. After getting worn out keeping up with Og, Mom and Dad could really use a vacation...
I posted some highlights in a web album. Click on the picture below to check them out.

New Tricks
Cochiti
The Browns and the Klatts headed up to Cochiti Lake to baptize Patrick's Hobie Cat (see below) in New Mexico waters. Luckily for Jess and Og, a friendly group of folks from Juarez offered them shade from the heat and some fresh sandia. Og enjoyed his first Spanish lesson. By the end of the day, though, Og was ready to head home.

1/2-Birthday Party
Og had all his friends over for his 6-month 1/2-birthday party. He wowed everyone with his crawling and drooling. He also had a blast playing 'steal the paci' with his buddy, Ezekiel. His favorite part was serving up Dad's homebrews to all his pals that were of age. Click on the pic below to go the web album.

Promotion!
A little conjunctivitis for Dad wasn't enough to rain on the parade that was his promotion to 1st Lieutenant. Mom even got promoted to Captain, to make sure that Dad remembers who's boss around here (well, besides me). I got recognized as Junior Junior Officer of the Quarter (JJOQ). Fun was had by all as Dad pledged to support and defend the Constitution of the United States from all enemies, foreign and domestic...without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion. Wow, what a mouthful!
